Helping churches and individuals practice forgiveness, recovery, and care in ways that heal rather than harm.
A great deal of harm in churches comes from good intentions paired with theology that hasn't reckoned with trauma. My work bridges rigorous theological scholarship and lived experience, so that what gets taught and practiced forms people rather than wounding them.
Confidential support, in person or by Zoom, for those navigating forgiveness, recovery, and the aftermath of abuse. Most who work with me come by referral from a pastor or ministry leader.
Equip your leaders and congregation with trauma-aware, theologically grounded teaching through consulting engagements, training, talks, or preaching.
Forgiveness after abuse
Forgiveness practices that honor survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Addiction & recovery
Recovery as spiritual formation in safe community.
Safeguarding foundations
The theological groundwork for safer churches.
I'm a practical theologian and doctoral researcher at Durham University, where my research examines how Christian forgiveness is understood and practiced by survivors of childhood abuse, and how theology can either harm or heal in the process.
I hold an MA in Christian Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a BA in Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a background spanning ministry, theological education, and pastoral care.
